Who we are
The Association of Food Journalists offers networking and education for professional food journalists. It also promotes high ethical standards in food writing, editing, and restaurant criticism.

Members include reporters and editors who are affiliated with publications or media organizations, and freelance food writers. We share a dedication to offering unbiased, professional food writing that adheres to AFJ’s ethics policy. AFJ sponsors its Awards Competition to honor the best in food writing and editing.

We help and support each other. And have a lot of fun when we get together for our annual conference.
