You like facts. AFJ likes facts.

Facts matter. You like them. You like facts so much you decided to make sharing facts your career. You probably also like other people who like facts. That is precisely why you need to take a few minutes and renew your AFJ membership now.

Journalism requires ethics and accountability. Membership in AFJ signifies a personal commitment to these standards as well as a public demand for them. Membership in AFJ folds you into a community of like-minded individuals with the common goal of excellence in communicating facts.

For over 30 years AFJ has honored excellence through the annual AFJ Awards, the revised guidelines will be shared the week of February 6. Reduced contest entry fees apply if you are a member at the time of submission. AFJ offers professional development through our “Sound Bites” webinar series, kicking off in late February with James Beard Award finalist Aileen Gallagher from the Newhouse School at Syracuse University. AFJ will convene in Philadelphia September 13 – 16 for professional development, peer learning and some very tasty food. AFJ succeeds because of your commitment to these things.

Many of you have already renewed your 2017 membership. We thank you for your commitment to this organization. Now take a moment to refer a colleague. Multiple applicants employed by the same media outlet receive a discount and qualified students receive a discount as well.

Thank you for supporting the future of journalism by renewing your membership now.
